Memory Center Households
Households will creating the secure perimeters of the Northern and Southern Neighborhoods. Each neighborhood will have three buildings, each comprising two separate households of ten private rooms each. A larger room in each home will allow for Residents to live with a spouse or partner, in the event that both persons are experiencing memory loss.
Two additional households will be located on the second floor of the Commons Building. Two respite rooms will be incorporated into one of these households, and will support the short-term care or trialed transition of a Resident.
Residents will be part of daily routines, helping to prepare meals, tidy up the home, or tend to the gardens. Contributing to the functions of a household will provide a sense of normalcy, belonging, and accomplishment.
